The D1650 utilizes ClassT Digital Technology for a low-heat/high-efficiency design that can deliver clean, full-rated power to all 16 channels simultaneously! The D1650 was designed for multi-room custom audio installations, and is the perfect companion amplifier for ELANs 8-Zone A/V Controllerthe System12. With 16 channels of amplification, it can power up to 8 stereo zones, 16 monaural zones, or any combination thereof. A and B Stereo Busses allow you to route one set of inputs to other inputs without the use of additional cables. Buffered Loop Output for each channel, make it easy to configure multi-room listening areas in stereo or mono. Rated at 16 x 45WPC into 8 Ohms and 16 x 60WPC into 4 Ohms, the D1650 delivers more than enough power for any distributed audio application. ELANs patent-pending ACE technology (Automatic Clip Eliminator) makes the D1650 virtually clip proof! ACE is a microprocessor-controlled dynamic leveling circuit that eliminates clipping without the typical audio degradation of traditional compressor-based clipping circuits. ClassT Digital Technology gives the D1650 an 85% efficiency ratinga spec unreachable by traditional Class-A/B amplifiers. ClassT also has a THD + Noise specification of less than 0.04%a spec unreachable by Class-D amplifiers. This low-heat/high-efficiency design ensures that all 16 channels can deliver their full-rated power at the same time. Even when its running all-out, the D1650 remains cool and sounds clean. The D1650 has a blue Vacuum Florescent Display (VFD) to indicate channels and level settings. Each channel can be individually adjusted via front panel buttons. The lockout feature ensures that finely tuned level settings cannot be inadvertently changed.
