Chances are that right now there are hidden issues with one or more of your major appliances (refrigerator, dryer, dishwasher, air conditioner, water heater, etc.) that are causing it to waste hundreds of dollars a year in excess energy – but how would you know?

Cars are equipped with systems that notify us of issues that impact energy efficiency or performance, or that – if ignored – could lead to very expensive repairs.

But what similar system exists for your home?

Appliances use more energy both gradually as they age, and immediately when internal parts fail. These changes invisible to owner . . . until the bill comes! But because the sources are not easily identifiable waste continues – often for years – until the appliance finally breaks, needing expensive repair.

Smart Outlets can be controlled remotely (as needed or on a timer) from the eMonitor Dashboard or iPhone®/iPad® interface, and communicate with eMonitor wirelessly via ZigBee®.

Going on vacation? Simply enter your departure and return dates and your home will be in vacation mode while you are away (which can include shutting off power to devices on Smart Outlets). And if you decide to stay away a few extra days, simply change your return time from your iPhone®, while at the beach, pool, or char lift, and eMonitor will make your home comfortable just in time for your return!

Smart Thermostats communicate with the eMonitor base unit wirelessly via ZigBee®.

The eMonitor tells owners of renewable systems:
